About Me
My name is Oneiry Restituyo and I am a high school senior at Sports and Medical Sciences Academy. Before I immigrated to this country my caregiver was my 70 years old great-grandmother. Because of her I have always had a soft spot for senior citizens. She inspired my capstone project this year since she experienced some of that isolation herself once we came to this country. I refuse to let these citizens deteriorate in the last years of their lives when a simple conversation could change everything for them. They are the reason why I will continue to push for Senior2Senior to be a game changer for so many.

The personal statement describes my aspirations in life
Even as a little girl I’ve always known that I wanted to be a doctor. As the years passed I’ve learned some other things I want from life as well. During my four years of college I want to participate in study abroad programs and travel the world. The job as a doctor would allow me to support myself and a family in the future. Most importantly, I am learning to look inward for the satisfaction I crave. I am learning to balance all aspects of my life to learn to make myself happy.
